Albers Accreditation  |  Law Enforcement Accreditation Consulting

About This Firm

Not advising from a distance.

I started Albers Accreditation because plenty of agencies want to do accreditation right. They just need someone who knows how. Not to check a box or survive the next assessment, but to build something sustainable, proactive, and accountable.

Most accreditation programs were assigned, not designed.

I'm an active law enforcement accreditation practitioner. For over a decade, I've run CALEA Advanced Law Enforcement accreditation and Ohio Collaborative certification for a large municipal police department in Ohio — including multiple on-site assessments and off-site reviews.

Since 2013, I've been embedded inside that agency. Not as a consultant, not as an assessor, but as a person doing the actual work. Short-staffed. Command turnover. Last-minute scrambles. I'm not advising from a distance. I'm still in it — regularly attending state and national conferences, actively involved in the state Police Accreditation Coalition, administering PowerDMS, and engaged with the national and state bodies and professional associations that shape this field.

This firm focuses exclusively on law enforcement accreditation and its core functions. CALEA Law Enforcement, Communications, and Training Academy accreditation programs. Ohio Collaborative Law Enforcement Certification and OCLEAP. No generalist consulting, no broad public safety services.

Over the years, I've worked with dozens of agencies throughout the state — police departments, sheriff's offices, state agencies, and communications centers of all sizes.

If you're not sure where your program stands, that's a good place to start. If you're ready to build something that lasts, I'm happy to talk. If accreditation is worth doing, it's worth doing right.
